NEW TOY!!!!

After all the research online; I've almost decided to get a Fujifilm (XT1 or XT10) as a secondary camera. Went to the good guys at Harvey Norman. Came out getting a Sony AR6300. Benson was just so convincing in why the A6300 would be more suitable

(a) Compact enough to be a secondary camera

(b) Weather-sealed

(c) Though its APS-C, its lens could be interchanged with my current AR7ii; hence saving alot on lens. 

He then convinced me to get the Sonnar T* E 24mm F1.8 ZA. Frightfully expensive but... totally worth it. More on that in a later blog. 

 

Part 3 - MMS Bdae Month

Here comes Part 3: lunch at Kaiseiki Yoshiyuki. Was really looking forward to it as I have heard nothing but positive reviews about it.

The sweetness of the beancurd skin compliment with the even sweeter, creamy texture of the uni. Every mouthful was just plain ole blissful!!!!

Kinmedai in Clear Broth

This tai was just to die for!!!! It was so... succulent to the extent of it being crunchy and the Ponzu zest just brings out the freshness of the fish.

I thought it was Otoro, but its just plain maguro. No way it is just maguro!!! lol

Part 2 - MMS's Bdae Month

Had booked Andre's originally; but MMS was dying for some comfort food at Buko; it feels like its customary to have dinner at Buko's for her bdae for the past 3 years!! *confidentially, i think its only cuz we can eat and drink to our hearts content without feeling too much of a pinch*

As usual, was unfashionably early for dinner. Heng AG was around to keep me entertained.

Haha we had to wait almost 1 hour for the Bdae Girl's grand arrival. But glad she liked her lil bouquet of flowers. It looked so french; doesnt it?

Okok, I know I'm not supposed to take pics of the Food at Buko. But..... our neighbour at the next table did so and Tracey's mum seems indifferent. So... why not ... right??? 

Favourite all time dish (ok not all time since they change the flavours of the crust all the time but hell.. it is good. Never failed to impress!!!)

Its all about May in the Month of June.....

The commencement of the even grander MMS bdae month!!!!!

Kickstarted it on the 2th June, with the whole gang (+ Baby E) joining us at Kite. I thought of it as one of those Cafe Melba sorta type... but boy was I wrong or what! Lol... It was actually really fantastic!!!

Love the high ceilings of the Cafe; and the talented mixologist!

Or so I was told; "Who Moved My Kueh" is the best cocktail there. 

Ordered the Wagyu Char Siew. TDF!!!!! Highly recommended



Being the alcoholic moi, the 1st cocktail was accounted for promptly in 10mins. I totally needed "Inner Peace" after the wretched news; but... I still preferred the 1st cocktail.

My 小宝贝 came; and was in quite a grumpy mood. Just look at that grumpz "Dont Mess with me look"

You know that you have really aged when Friday nights are spent handling ur bestie's babies.... but i must say Yuu Kin is quite a doll! haha he even fell asleep in DPL's arms...
